Participant Observer

Dear Readers,

Welcome to a new edition of the San Diego Participant Observer newsletter. Our Recipe of the Month is for French Canadian Poutine, a surprisingly delicious dish to enjoy for a snack or meal. Recipe of the Month

Poutine
French Canadian Poutine

Our recipe of the month is for French Canadian Poutine. A quintessential comfort food that hails from Quebec, Canada that can now be enjoyed throughout Canada and many other parts of the world. Who would have guessed French fries, gravy and some cheese curds could be so satisfying?

CD of the Month

Our International CD of the Month is Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa by Jeremy Dutcher. The debut album by Canadian composer and tenor, Jeremy Dutcher – mixes post-classical rearrangement of his Wolastoq First Nation traditional music from 1907 of his ancestors singing forgotten songs and stories. The album is his contribution to his heritage and community in attempts to revitalize the Wolastoq language to the world, which has less than 100 speakers alive today.—Amazon
